The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed about the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office focused on service the area on a daily basis. The assistance point designed for intervention ordeals a higher influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to help the servicing of all customers and boost use of Social Assistance products and services,” the SRD agency said.
